| Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! Well, it was for me. This week has been so busy. First, my oldest brother and his family came to visit on Tuesday. Alisha and I enjoyed getting to spend time with them. This was the first time they actually had a chance to get to know Alisha. We had a lot of fun with them. Goo' times. After Joel and Julie and my neices had to leave Alisha's family came to see us for thanksgiving. We have done so much with them in the past few days that it feels kind of like a blur. We've been to Carew Tower (highest building in Cincinnati) three times within the past two weeks. We went to the tree lighting downtown last night. That was a really neat experience. I've never been to one in person before. They had figure skaters, Santa Clause repelling down the side of a building, and a good fireworks show. Today we went on a river boat ride. And we still have half of the afternoon left today. But I'm tired. I hope your Thanksgiving week was as much fun as mine. | | |
| So, I'm almost never on xanga anymore, so I thought I'd update. Chances are, little to know one will read this because I've been off for so long. Well, Alisha and I have been married for three months now. Isn't that exciting? We think so. Uuuum...now that I'm on I can't think of much to type. Mmmmmmmmmmm...kay! Sorry that this is just a blip. | | |
| So, it's been a while. Cincinnati is not my favorite city in the world. But I don't hate it. I just have been a sort of wandering vagabond since I graduated from college. I went home and helped my parents move to a new town. After staying with them for about six or seven months I moved to Wichita to live with my wife's parents while she finished undergrad. After living there for about five months Alisha and I got married and not too long after moved to Cincinnati. I feel kind of lonely. I miss being near people I know well and/or am related to. Thankfully, this loneliness doesn't show up much. I have a great time with Alisha. And we are starting to get to know people. It takes longer than it did at college. I'm not so used to that. But it will get better. | | |
| Well, I'm married now. Life is good. Alisha and I are getting ready for our big move to Cincinnati to go to seminary. That is exciting. My poison ivy is going away. That is also exciting. In case you haven't heard, I got poison ivy when Alisha and I took a kayak trip on our honeymoon. It was just a couple of hours long. Other than that our honeymoon was great. We stayed in a great cabin, enjoyed some hiking in the area, and some of the local attractions, but mostly just time with each other.
That's all for now. | | |
| Okay, so it's been over a month since I updated. Bad Jordan. Here's why, I forgot to update, then Alisha came home and my time has been mostly spent between working, hanging out with Alisha and doing important things, and working on my play. So, it's about 2 a.m. now and I decided that I have time to sit and type an entry.
If you read Alisha's xanga you already know that the play was great. The kids were amazing in the play. I am blessed to have gotten to work with two youth groups on this play now. However, I have yet to actually see a live performance of it. The first time I was sitting on one side following along in the script in case someone needed to be prompted. The second time, which was last Sunday, I was in it because one of the kids found out two weeks before the performance that he wouldn't be there. He was doing really well with his part before he had to drop out too.
Well, that's all for now. | | |
